About the Photographer
Joyce (Joy) Yount has always had a keen interest in photography, ever since she was a teenager. It wasn't until 2023, after a series of attempts at finding a career that truly made her happy, that she decided to start her own photography business. Joy's passion for photography stems from her desire to capture moments that make people feel positive about themselves. She is a girl power advocate and takes pride in her ability to make women feel beautiful and confident through her work. Her family, however, always comes first, and she makes sure to balance family, her photography business and her full time position with Metro.
Despite having a busy schedule, Joy is a devoted partner to her fiancé, Patrick Duty, and a loving mother to their three beautiful children. Her eldest, Starlit, is a thriving young adult. Her middle child, Leonidas, is a thoughtful young man, and their youngest, Tyrion, is a precocious boy who keeps Joy on her toes. Joy's passion for photography would not have been possible without the unwavering support of Patrick, who encouraged her to follow her dreams. Joy also received support from her mother, her uncle and her counsins. Being in a large family has helped her learn how unique people can be and everyone has been encouraging with her career.
Joy shares her home with a menagerie of pets: a Siamese cat named Ping, a Border Collie named Roman, and a chihuahua named Bambi. She loves capturing the unique personalities of her beloved pets through her camera lens. In everything she does, Joy is committed to making people feel good about themselves, whether through her photography or her infectious positivity. She believes in the power of strong family bonds and girl power, and her dedication to both is a testament to her unwavering strength of character.
